Music review website designed to be user interactive,to empower music listeners &give talented young people a platform

It can be tempting to give as much detail as possible to sell your idea but sometimes too many words can be overwhelming. Win people over by making your idea easy to understand.
I want to start a music review website (New Future Music.com) that will hold up with the likes of NME, The Quietus and This Is Fake D.I.Y, but with a difference. Unlike your conventional music website where the reader has an experience of being able to take in the opinion of just one writer about an album or gig we want to do things differently.
People will be able to summit their own reviews which will be featured alongside our writers along with video responses which will be done by users, Guest musicians and industry experts. As well as this we will send cameras to shows to interview gig goers and take the opinions of the people that where there and use pictures taken by amateur photographers to capture a gig as close to the actual experience as it happened.
I want to show music the way it is heard, by the listeners. Done in an environment where the best of new online technology and ideas are being used to offer a complete interactive user experience.
The internet is a place of freedom of speech and a place to share ideas and views. I feel like this has been lost by the music industry and its time to change the classic way of running a music website.
The idea for the website came out of myself and a friend who writes for a large music website sitting down and talking about all are friends that are writing for large websites, magazines and newspapers who weren’t getting paid, where getting told what to write and where getting censored. As well as friends who were interning in the music industry making cups of tea and not getting the chance to show how talented they were.
We wanted the website to use the best and most talented young people so that they have a place to show what they can do and help them find employment at other companies that may not have given them a chance because they were young or did not have enough experience. Rather than having some really good blogs written by talented individuals why not collaborate them together to make one amazing website.
In the future I want to expand the company into live events, an agency and maybe even a record label giving us the chance to find so many talent young people to help.
If I don’t get the help of Channel 4 and Barclays then I will be aiming to launch early summer next year. This will allow the website to be ready for the winter touring season and the large amount of records that are released on the run up to Christmas. But, if I am picked to be a part of “The Stake” this may change according to what I have to do to be a part of the project.
I think my main concern is having to be in charge of a group of very talented individuals that make up a team of people that I have started to put together for my idea. But I’m sure with the help of the team we will be able to overcome any obstacle.
My aim is to keep anyone working with the website to be in their early twenties or younger and this is very important to me, but finding people that are at an advanced enough level to be able to keep up with the quality of standards that we want the website to be upheld by.
I am the right person to make this idea a success. I started my first company when I was sixteen as a promoter and had a very successful two years running. I then studied music industry and entrepreneur skills for a year and have spent the last six months interning at a large international independent record label. While there I have been dealing with digital promotion, this has meant I have been dealing with UK’s biggest music websites.
I have a wealth of experience and a large amount of industry contacts as well as still being 19 and having the understanding of what it is like to be a young person working in a creative industry. This leaves me in the best possible situation to run a successful business and help people.
