"Local Social Network" which connects people to brands, accommodation and entertainment for an area and provides deals
Top Tip...
It can be tempting to give as much detail as possible to sell your idea but sometimes too many words can be overwhelming. Win people over by making your idea easy to understand.
4thought is an online platform run by youths that will (hopefully) enable local business owners in the Newcastle Co. Down area to connect with potential customers.
It would also allow visitors to the area to see the best places to eat, shop and stay, and remove any worries about a visit to Newcastle.
The unique selling point would be a close partnership with individual businesses to provide point of sale discounts to users of the website, and business owners would be charged a reasonable flat rate charge to be listed on 4thought.
Finally, 4thought will also allow people living in Newcastle to share photos and videos and chat about events happening. It would hopefully become the primary discussion area of the town.
For business owners, they can finally, easily be ushered into the technology age. Many small, local establishments don't have the time or money to build a fancy website, and 4thought is a simple, hands off way to do so.
They would also gain increased customer loyalty due to the monthly exclusive deal system.
For users, it is a simple, easy way to find out what the best things are to do in Newcastle, and then access special offers for those places, and then finally (if you wish) share and rate your experiences on the discussion board.
Realistically, we would be looking at about 12 months from start to initial limited run launch. At the minute, the company only consists of three 16 year olds, so time Is tight.
The main two concerns are that business owners may not embrace the idea, and that users may not be drawn to it.
Because my partners and I are enthusiastic, media savvy young teens, and we are so committed to making this idea a reality.
Newcastle is one of the most popular tourist areas on Ireland, and I believe it is brimming with potential.
It is time to usher in the age of "Newcastle 2.0"
