The idea is designed to charge peoples phones. It is done by adding a device to the bike that harvests energy from cycling into electricity that can be used to charge a mobile phone e.g. iPhone, Blackberry, HTC
How will your idea make a difference to people’s lives?
This product will make a difference as it encourages people to cycle whilst generating electiricty. By doing so, this will keep people healthy as well as saving energy by not connecting the phone to a wall charger or USB.
How long would it take to make your idea a reality?
It would take 3 weeks to develop a prototype, with the prototype we would then develop it further to produce the final product. The final product will be designed and in production within 3 months.
Do you have any concerns with making your idea happen?
The only concern I have with my product is finding a reliable manufacturer withing the UK. We are deciding to proudce the product within the UK because we are an environmentally friendly organisation.
Why do you think you’re the right person to make this idea a success?
I think i am the right person to make this idea a success due to the team that I have working with me. This is a collective effort and as all our names could not be put down, it would be unfair to take all the credit. This product is a one of a kind product, as we have done market research and found that there are similar products but this product exceeds the rest.
