Tell us a bit more about your idea.
I have a project in South Wales (Rhondda Cynon Taff) called "Bridges" which works with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender teenagers to discuss issues, create different media and raise awareness.
This funding would help me set up more projects like this, for instance Bridges Cardiff etc.
Also, in a poll many told me that they'd like a safe place to go and meet other LGBT people, and gain more information.
How will your idea make a difference to people’s lives?
It would allow LGBT to feel more accepted, make friends, educate people and give young people who are feeling confused, alone or unaccepted regular social experiences. It would also be a great time to give advice/information and design workshops.
How long would it take to make your idea a reality?
Planning could take a considerable amount of time. 3 months isn't a long time as ideally I'd like these to be regular, but even a couple of these events wouild make a difference.
Do you have any concerns with making your idea happen?
Time-scale.
Why do you think you’re the right person to make this idea a success?
I'm passionate, determined, friendly and professional. I have won numerous awards for my work with young people and I am always looking for the next project to help or inspire people.
As someone emotionally, physically and anythingelsely involved in this, I would make it work!
