It can be tempting to give as much detail as possible to sell your idea but sometimes too many words can be overwhelming. Win people over by making your idea easy to understand.
We are planning an indoor skate park in Winterbourne, just out side of Bristol. The park will be run as a social enterprise by a management commitee of young people who will run the park. Revenue generated by the park will be reinvested in maintaining the ramps and organising events, tutoring and comeptetions
Young people will be invoved in all aspects of the design, build management and use of the park. giving oppertunities for young people to have a great time using the recreationla faxcilties, meet socials and get fit in a safe supervisised environment. Also young poeple will gain skills for work and life in running the park including, developing thier leadership skills, organsation and planning skills and experince in project management.
the soical enterprise aims to employ two full time aprenticeships for young people aged 16 to 24, we also hope to employ young people as venue assistance. On going maintaince and repair work will be offered as reparation oppertunities for young people with community servuce orders.
All decisons about how the park opperates will be made through the management commitee of young people and youth workers.
The Skate Park will keep young people off the streets reducing anti social behavior and vandalism associated with the inapropriate use of park and play equipment by riders. The park will be a safe alcohol and drug free environment, provising a high quality alternative facility for young people
Subject to funding we estimate that the park can be built and open within 6 months, we have already secured £13,00 in grants towards the building of the ramps and hope to secure more capital fnding through applications to charities and our own fund raising events, we are also seaking sponsorship from Private business and have been in discussion with brand consultants from Monster and DC shoes
We are very confident we will get this idea off the ground, but belive that finding the rest of the capital funding to build the ramps might be difficult. To make th project sustainable we have developed a business plans that will ensure we can keep the park fresh and interesting fro new users coming through.
I am the kind of person who gets thing done, through hard work and dedication, I am availible to work hard and I am committed to developing the project for young people in the community. I have a passion in the sport and have always wanted to build a park. I have been involved with starting other skate park projects with friends and opening the indoor park at fromeside would be like seeing all of those ideas and hopes finally take shape.
