What’s next for creative young people? Who will inspire them, who will let them know about the wealth of story-telling

It can be tempting to give as much detail as possible to sell your idea but sometimes too many words can be overwhelming. Win people over by making your idea easy to understand.
We want to set up a theatre company dedicated to working with and adapting myths, legends and folklore from around Europe, from Britain to Greece. In the last few decades we've seen the likes of Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings and His Dark Materials spark the imaginations of young people across Britain. All of them draw on the myths of Europe to build their complex worlds, and we want to re-visit those sources to see what makes them just so inspiring. We hope that, through our performances and creative learning workshops, we will engage young people in the wealth of story-telling that has gone before them and help them take their first steps to making the most of their own creative ideas.
There's so much talent in Britain - we have such a long history of great authors, artists, playwrights and film-makers - and we want to ensure that continues, by inspiring young people with our own performances and then giving them the platform they need to make their own ideas a reality. So not only do we want to entertain and inform people with our plays but we want to help offer a solution for those who want to express themselves through art, theatre and performance.
For us to get fully up and running it will take a year or more - we need to have three or four performances under our belt before we can really begin to make an impact - but we can make an immediate start within four to six months with at least one performance that will start at a theatre in London before touring to schools across the south-east with an accompanied creative learning workshop.
Obviously it's a challenge breaking in to the theatre business as there's so much competition. The hardest challenge is letting people know we exist and therefore we need to maximise our publicity opportunities. We do have an advantage - we're a group of young people dedicated to helping other young people, gaining and furthering experience together, and our dedication to both dramatising our mythical heritage and letting people know about that heritage is unique.
I've been interested in theatre and education for many years - I've recently graduated with a degree in Drama and Creative Writing and I'm currently pursuing a Masters, hoping to move towards a PhD and teaching at university level. My area of research is mythology and its uses in theatre, and this places me in a solid position to lead a team that will be utilising myth to create new theatre and to educate young people.

Oh no! You're planning to spend a bit too much on this idea. Better give this a rethink.
